Dear Friend of the What If Foundation,
This is the time when we look back on everything we’ve accomplished together and I’m excited to share with you some of the highlights in our 2018 Annual Report. First and foremost, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for all you have done and continue to do to improve the lives of the children and families in Ti Plas Kazo.
Beyond the exciting achievements by Na Rive and the students at the Fr. Jeri School, which you’ll find in the report, I want to share some of the work we’ve been doing internally at the What If Foundation.
A big part of my work this past year has been to think about ways to improve how we tell our story. The more people we can reach and engage with our message, the greater the impact we and Na Rive can have. That’s why I’m excited to share three exciting projects we’re launching this summer.
First, we’ve created a new website that is more visual, makes it easier to find the content you’re looking for, and can be browsed on any device. For the past several months we’ve been working to rethink, reorganize and redesign our web experience and I’m excited to announce we’re launching it today! We hope you’ll enjoy the new design, more impactful photos, quick reads, and a much simpler way to donate.
The second project, which you may have already noticed in our communications, is our updated logo and brand. We reinterpreted the warmth, inclusiveness and hope that define us and applied it to a modern system that is easier to use. Our butterfly still flies, but in a way that is bolder, simpler and more open. We’re now rolling this change out in every communication we create.
And finally, we had the incredible opportunity to work with acclaimed documentary filmmaker John Antonelli to tell the story of the Fr. Jeri School. He and his crew flew to Haiti for a few days to capture the spirit and determination of Na Rive and the students, and the result is breathtaking. Thanks again to the wonderful group of donors who sponsored this project. I hope you’ll enjoy the new video and get a feel for what life is like today at the Fr. Jeri School.
I hope you feel as proud as I am to be part of this work and proud to share our new video and website with friends and others who might be interested in our story. The more people moved by our mission at home, the more lives we can help transform in Haiti.
Thank you again for your enduring support and boundless compassion.
Have a wonderful summer,
Interim Executive Director
