December is a very busy time at the Na Rive kitchen as Rosie, the Head Cook, and her team prepare to serve the last meals of the year. For many children and families, these meals are their only sustenance, and often their only gift this holiday season. As the economic and humanitarian crises deepen, having access to nutritious food surrounded by the support of the community brings relief and a sense of hope.
At the same time, the students and teachers at the Father Jeri School are celebrating the end of exams, and a much-needed break from all the hard work they’ve poured into focusing on their education amidst the many challenges life in Port-au-Prince presents in this moment. These critical programs, which your donations help make possible, have a crucial impact on the lives of the children and families in Ti Plas Kazo. And more than that, they are a sign that they are cared for, they are loved, and amidst all the current challenges in the world, they have not been forgotten.
We are deeply grateful for your generosity and compassion, and for the hope you bring to these families, during the holidays and every day. On behalf of everyone in Ti Plas Kazo, we wish you much health, hope and joy in 2024.
