Margaret Trost, Founder of the What If? Foundation, gives presentations at schools, churches, Rotary clubs, Soroptimist clubs and other community organizations, as time permits. She is also open to talking with book clubs and other groups via Skype. We list events which are open to the public on this page. July 29, 2012- 10am service – First Presbyterian Church in St. Helena, CA. Margaret will talk about her experiences and What If?’s work in Haiti. First Presbyterian Church is located at 1428 Spring Street, St. Helena, CA 94574.
September 16, 2012 – Join us on this Sunday afternoon for “Plate by Plate”, a celebration full of wonderful food, wine and music at a beautiful winery in St. Helena, CA. Funds raised through ticket sales and a silent auction will support the programs the What If? Foundation funds for children in Haiti. SOME RECENT EVENTS
April 29, 2012- Grace Episcopal Church in St. Helena, CA. Margaret, having just returned from Haiti, gave an update of What If?’s work in Haiti.
January 21-22, 2012 – Margaret talked about What If?’s work in Haiti at masses on Saturday and Sunday at Christ the King Church in Pleasant Hill, CA.
January 5, 2012 – Margaret spoke via Skype with members of a book group at St. Clare’s Episcopal Church in Spring Hill, Kansas, about her book, On That Day Everybody Ate.
September 27-29, 2011- Margaret spoke on September 28 at Christ’s Church in Saxtons River, VT, about the programs What If? funds in Haiti and plans to build a neighborhood school and cafeteria on the land we purchased after the earthquake . She also spoke with students at various high schools in Vermont during this trip. Her trip was sponsored by a local “Friends of Haiti” group which represents Christ’s Church and the Falls Area Peace and Justice Committee, and by Vermont Academy.
