Lemonaid fundraiser provides 40 meals
Posted Jul 8th, 2009
Dear What If, I just “paypal-ed” over $25.00 that was raised by a lemonade stand done by a group of girls last week. My 14-year old daughter, Lena, hosted a camp called “Camp Lena” w/ 5 little girls entering 3rd grade. They picked lemons, made cookies and lemonade, a sign etc…and sold by the Tiburon ferry. They learned about and donated to two causes — the What If? Foundation and Smile Train, which corrects cleft palates. The girls really got a lot out of this activity, and had fun in the process! They were so happy that the money can buy nice meals for the kids in Haiti. Happy mid-summer! Laurie, Marin County, CA
