Nine years ago today, the food program at St. Clare’s began!  As I look back, I’m amazed and so deeply grateful for what’s happened – how the food program has grown from one meal/week for 500 children to five meals/week for 1,500 children.  How we started out with just a handful of school scholarships and this year paid the tuition for 200 students!  How the summer camp is about to enter its 7th year.  Little by little we have funded these programs with your donations.  Together, in solidarity with the community of St. Clare’s we have been able to reduce the suffering of thousands of children over the years.  We’ve been able to provide hope and opportunity for a brighter future.  Our shared vision has resulted in a beautiful expression of love in action.  I thank you for being part of this “great sharing” and as we move into the future I pray for a world where food, water, shelter, education, and health care will become true priorities and be available to everyone.  Piti piti na rive.  Little by little we will arrive.   In faith, hope, and love, Margaret
